Dennis Keim (dK) is a nationally recognized award-winning photographer. dennis enjoyed a 25 year career as an accomplished aerospace photojournalist and underwater photographer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. At the beginning of the new millennium dK retired from NASA and set out to fulfill a life long dream, founding dK-studio and devoting his attention and dedication to the pursuit of his renewed passion for photography. Building on his expertise as a photojournalist, dennis quickly began producing creative imagery for national publications and corporations. But dennis is more than a corporate photographer; dK, as he is known to friends and associates, is best known today as an artist. He has earned international acclaim for his Fine Art photography. His art has graced the walls of art galleries, hangs in private and corporate collections and has been showcased in national and international art publications.

His passion for art and his love of photography are undeniable and unmistakable. Born and raised in Florida, dennis earned a B.S. degree in Visual Communication from the University of South Florida. Today, he travels extensively from coast-to-coast-to-coast keeping busy with commercial shoots, as well as, instructing at photographic workshops.

dK is passionate about passing his knowledge along to a new generation of young and young at heart photographers.

His love for the ocean and beach, from his early childhood, have remained firmly entrenched within him. It was divine intervention that led him to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and to the place where he now calls “home” – if truly “home is where the heart is.” With each OBX sunset he continues his photographic love affair with its beauty and solitude and it’s magical, mystical calling as an artist’s paradise.
